Using the natural cementation reaction of leached minerals, we have optimised the cementation reaction in various ways. The fundamental concept behind the technology was to increase the regeneration area of the sacrificial metal, thus allowing for overall much quicker and constant performance of the cementation reaction.
The PLS enters at the bottom of our reactors, is put through a fluidised bed and permanently agitated by our proprietary methods, using among other means ultrasounds. The ion exchange happens in the reactor and the cemented metal exits the reactor at the top with the refinate. We use various filtration or decantation method to extract the cement from the refinate, having generally extracted at a minimum 95% of the contained ionic metal contained.
For the reaction to work optimally we have optimised the form and source of the sacrificial metal used.
